 Alexander P. Rybakov - Mayor of Vladimir City
Alexander Rybakov was born in Vladimir in 1947. His parents were veterans of the Second World War.
After completing secondary school he studied at the Aeromechanical College and worked as an electrician at the Vladimir Tractor Plant.
From 1967 to 1970 he served in the army as a member of the Border forces (in the north of Russia).
Mr. Rybakov holds two post-secondary degrees: in 1975 he graduated from the Radio Department of the Vladimir Polytechnical Institute, and in 2002 - from a branch of the President's Russian Academy of Government Services.
He has served in various executive bodies for 28 years (working first as an instruct or, then as a department head, a Vice-Chairman of the City Executive Committee, the first Vice-Mayor of the City, and finally Mayor of the City of Vladimir).
He is married and has two daughters and three grandchilds. Mr. Rybakov devotes his free time to sport, he prefers ski, football, swimming and tennis. He's also intrested in art and perfectly knows the representatives of Vladimir art school.
Mr. Rybakov was elected Mayor of the City of Vladimir on March 17, 2002. In October 2005 he got the mandate of trust from Vladimir citizens for the second time.
